SINGAPORE AIRPORT: FIRST IN ASIA-PACIFIC TO COMPLETE ACI AND BV’S AIRPORT HEALTH MEASURES AUDIT PROGRAM
Sep. 20 2021
Singapore Changi Airport became the first airport in the Asia-Pacific region to comply with the Airport Health Measures Audit program. The onsite audits conducted by Bureau Veritas enabled Changi Airport to demonstrate that all appropriate health and safety measures are in place.
By successfully completing the audit program, Changi Airport can now display Bureau Veritas’ Safeguard™ label and demonstrate its commitment to the health and safety of staff and travelers.
At the end of 2020, Airports Council International (ACI), the only global trade representative of the world’s airports, partnered with Bureau Veritas to introduce the Airport Health Measures Audit program, based on BV’s SafeGuard™ standards and aligned with the recommendations of national and international authorities.
The partnership’s objective is to offer all airport members a complete onsite audit that covers all processes from operations to management. This, in turn, ensures that health and hygiene best practices are well implemented, and that protective measures are properly put in place.
